Default Amazon and Kindle Customer Service

I wanted to share my experience. I had one of the original Kindles, about four years old. It finally quit working in May. I bought a new Kindle Paperwhite in May. A couple of weeks ago my grandson accidentally knocked it off the table and it would not work anymore. It had all these vertical lines across the screen. I called Amazon and told them the situation. Since it was within a year it was under warranty. They sent me a new Kindle Paperwhite, no additional cost. They provided a mailing label. I boxed the broken Kindle in the box, taped on the new label and dropped it off at UPS. I received notification today that it had even received. I don't think I have ever had such great us timer service as that provided by Amazon.

I love my kindles, even got one for hubby and my best friend, she loves hers too and hubby use's his every day. The best part so easy to pack when you move, instead of box's and box's and box's of books.

My first Kindle had a keypad and the letters wore off - Amazon replaced the whole unit free of charge. Now I have it and a Kindle Fire. Love the e-readers - I like to read but don't want to have to store the books. I can have thousands of books now and they don't take up any space.

I had one of the first Kindle Fire's and it quit charging after about 3 months of very heavy use. I had the same experience that you did! I think it was the easiest defective product return I've ever made!!

My Kindle fire also stopped charging and the screen froze-coudn't open it. I think something happened when we lost power during a storm even though it was plugged into a surge protector. When they couldn't access my Kindlefire with their diagnostics they immediately sent a new unit which I had within 2 days. They sent the mailing label to send the old one back all I had to do was put it in the box and drop it at UPS.

My Kindle Fire is one of the first ones and it's still working great. DH has an older one and it is still working just like new. I ordered several of the Kindles on sale for $60. I can load them up with books. Lots easier to dust a Kindle then many books shelves. I do have my favorite all time books in hardback. I don't keep paperback books once read. I use Amazon Prime. Best value there is. I do most of my shopping with Amazon.

Kindles are the best. Instead of adding to my fabric stash, I'm now hoarding free Kindle books. If you do not already know, Google: OHFB (one hundred free books).
