If this cousin lives close by, tell the cousin you will happy to teach her how to make a quilt, that making it together will bring the two of you closer. If she really wants a quilt, she will give you an enthusiastic yes.

And then, if any other cousins ask for a quilt, make them the same offer.

If you want to make her a quilt, by all means do! Charge her a dollar and tell any other "nosies' that she paid for it, a secret between you two as to how much she paid you. That is really none of anyone else's business.

This is my thought, too. If you would like to make a quilt for her and she would like one of your quilts, why not just do it? Why worry about who else may want one at this point. Your family must be much more involved than mine if anyone would even know or care.
