Default thimble display

My granddaughter will be graduating from high school next month and I want to gift her with a thimble that was given to her great-grandmother at her graduation in 1926. It is silver and etched with her initials. My granddaughter is named for her so it is extra special. I've looked online for a display "container" for a single thimble but everything I find is for multiple thimbles such as for collectors. Does anyone have a suggestion of a way to display this one thimble?

I wonder if a picture framing place would have, or maybe could make something to let this one little thimble "shine".

What about a shadow box. I think they still make them. I used one years ago to put some keys, pictures, etc from grandpa as a memento. I think they also come pretty small.

Try doing a search for "Small glass display box". There are many different sizes & styles.

I also found small glass domes:

Maybe find a picture of the great grandmother and include it? Also, find some way to label the display and/or include some information. It would be a shame to lose the story behind the thimble. I have several family items that have become detached from their "stories", and I feel obligated to protect them and pass them on but am hampered by the lack of information. The next generation will no doubt value them less, and it is a shame.

Hobby lobby has shadow boxes in different sizes. Can you put a picture of great grandma in the frame with the thimble?

The pocket watch bell is what I use. I even got lucky several yrs ago at a flea and got really small ones. Glove forms work also. Perfect!

Indeed, perfect items, mermaid! Thank you to all for suggestions. I hadn't considered the picture, too. Many minds working together........

I have seen advertisements in the past that showed a thimble in a wire cage and worn as a necklace. Your granddaughter is a very fortunate young woman.
