We have been have some thunder and lightening storms here in FL over the past week.
My 2 greyhounds react differently to them - pictures are during the storm and after storm

We are still very worried........

They are on my bed during a thunderstorm - Money (Black) - has no problem with the storm - hence the Cockroach position - However her sister - Kiwi - hates the storms - so she is cuttling/laying on her sister- Both are laying right next to me

However - 4 hrs later - after the storm - everyone is just chilling - but no room on the bed for Mom....Guess I will go work on my quilt

This is exactly why I am dreading Spring and Summer. Our 2 goldens panic with thunderstorms and we give them Valium 5mgm. Then we have to hold them and sooth them until it takes effect otherwise they are panting, digging at the carpet and trying to hide. It is so sad. Someone I worked with had a Boxer that almost bled to death during a summer thunderstorm because the dog developed a stress ulcer!

What pretty dogs! My Yorkie sleeps through anything, even as a young pup. My lab is attached to my hip at the first clap of thunder! I give him a little benadryl and rub Lavender oil under his chin. Seems to help a bit.

Does Kiwi have a boo-boo on her side? Love her eyes -- so expressive! Poor darling.
