Many years ago a next door neighbor sued us because our then 3 year old child had made ruts in her gravel driveway with her tricycle. The judge just laughed at her and basically told her she needed to " get a life". It takes all kinds to make the world go round. Just smile at her when you see her, "kill her with kindness" it will drive her nuts.

I was curious and remembered that "they" had done a lot of chain sawing and minimal clearing of the entrance to that property and maybe she wanted to ask Rae to mow the entrance from time to time.

HA! She was complaining that our grass clipping were getting all over the road and she (and 2 other nameless people) were afraid that the bottoms of their cars were going to look like the bottom of a lawn mower!!!!!!!!!! "And you know what that looks like!"

For one thing, as Rachel said (but not to her, dammit) the mower is only a couple of inches from the grass, hopefully a car is higher! This is a very rural country road and the clippings blow off onto all the pastures! My DD was totally stunned speechless!! Another client was in the barn, heard the whole thing and had to run outside not to be seen laughing!

Then, late last night I got it! I bet she thinks WE called the county about the mess on her property and county told her they needed proper access in case of emergency, etc. No not us, the county drives by looking at all the properties from time to time!

Oh my!! Now are we the neighborhood pariahs? We'll be stoned and TPed!! Unbelievable!! Funny the Deputy Sheriff and the Fire Chief that live on our road never said a thing to us!

Funny what people will complain over!

I have to agree with feline fanatic, if she and the 2 other "nameless" persons are worried about getting the bottom of their car dirty, tell them to go back to the city. The nerve!!!

I think you would be wise to ignore her so that you give her no more ammunition or reason to speak to you again otherwise you might get more follow - up visits than you desire...

A number of years ago when we lived in MO, my 2 oldest girls were with their father for the weekend in ST. Louis. The youngest DD and her dad had gone to MN for her brother's graduation, so for the weekend I was the only one home. The police came knocking at my door because the old neighbor lady was complaining that my kids were throwing rocks at her dog. I told the police where my kids were and they laughed and wanted to put them on their baseball team. The old lady had called and complained so many times that if something really did happen, I don't think anyone would have taken her serious. It was sad, but we did get a few laughs out of her.
