I don’t know if nurses are still expected to carry bandage scissors in their pockets but I received this with my name engraved inside the handle from a nurse friend. So, what’s wrong with another quilt? Maybe a throw size just for her. Could use “nursey” fabric if you wanted.

I just had surgery and the nurses were all dressed alike. Yep. BUT the cool thing was that they each had a carry tote for needles, syringes, etc. The totes weren't huge, but held a lot. They were what looked like laminated fabric and I asked if someone made them. Nope. Hobby Lobby! So they each knew "their" tote by the colors on the fabrics and it held everything they needed. So the tool belt or tote for on the job might be a good idea. I think the totes were originally for crafters, but hey, why not use it for nursing items?

My DIL graduated years ago and scrubs are dictated by departments etc. Money will be needed to buy her clothes.

One gift I appreciated was a subscription to a nursing magazine.

Thanks for responses. I looked yesterday at Hobby Lobby and Joann's for nursing fabric, but none to be found. I think I will just make her a little Wonder Wallet and put some money in it. A tote would have been nice, but just don't have time. Maybe for her pinning.

What about Sun Bonnet Sue with nursing caps instead of bonnets?

I love the idea of the nursing themed tote. She would use it all the time. Make it really cute like with the Laura Lee (?) nursing girls print on it along with coordinates. I did that for my granddaughter for her nursing graduation, (as she already had a few of my quilts too)

Money! She doesn't need another quilt. Perhaps a tote but school and gas are expensive. She can probably use money. I wouldn't make her scrubs until you clear it with her.
