First, I'm ok though I started getting a headache about a half hour afterwards. I took a nap this afternoon and now my should hurts (wasn't laying on that side) and I realize that's where the seat belt would be, over my left shoulder.

Anyway, commuting to work and had to slam on my brakes. I didn't hit anyone in front but the person behind me hit me at what seemed like full speed.

My SUV just LOOKS like it has a scrape on the bumper but on the inside it hit so hard that it pushed my spare tire up out of the storage well. The other car is a lot worse.

She said she was fine at first but as we were waiting for help she said her chest was hurting so they took her to the hospital. She probably hit that air bag pretty hard.

The other car

Wow so sorry to hear that. Please take it easy for a few days. Things tend to appear after something like this. I am so glad you are ok though.

Be sure and take it easy... some injuries might not appear right away. Also be sure to have the insurance go over your truck thoroughly. You never know what might have happened that you haven't seen. Especially since the inside tire popped out.

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}] and glad you are ok

Sorry to hear about your accident. Hope your shoulder feels better quickly, and I hope the other driver is ok. Take care of yourself.

OMG, monitor your aches and pains. Don't let anything go. Take care of yourself. Were you alone in the car? Was she? Glad to hear there were no serious injuries. They really can hapen so fast.

I'm sure you feel like you've been run over by a mack truck.
Certainly surprised though after looking at the other car that your vehicle managed to have so little damage. At least any that showed. Sometimes there can be damage that isn't apparantly visible. Glad to know though that those little escapes can handle that type of impact. My daughter drives an escape.

I hope you have something that will help you sleep tonight.
At least Tylenol. So thankful you were not seriously hurt!

Oh my goodness! I'm glad it wasn't any worse than it was though that looks pretty bad. That tire in the back could have done some serious damage if it had kept moving. Hope your hurts get better and that the other driver is okay. So sorry you had this experience. :(

Yes, I was rear ended.

Yeah, I'm feeling pretty sore. My daughter works for a Ford dealer (where I bought mine) and they have a collision center. I'll take it there and she'll make sure that it's done right. She told me she already spoke to the shop manager.

Please, please, go to the doctor to get checked out, especially because you have a headache. Concussions are very serious and with the force that you were hit with, that is a possibility. A concussion is a silent killer. Don't wait! Go to the ER if you can't get an appointment with your doctor.
