Here's an interesting article about dying Easter eggs safely. If you read what food dyes are made of, I guarantee you that you won't want to use them anymore.

I remember doing some of these when I was little. I know you can use kool aide and natural food dye or paste colors.

Ok if anyone has done this with the red onions and such do your eggs taste like onions???? I am not a fan of onions and well would not want to color them if they did :)

I have used both red onion skins and yellow, and neither makes the eggs smell like onions. The skins don't smell.
