It would be nice to do a big project each month so it doesn't all wait to the last minute. I usually get one or two done then lose steam until this time of year and then wonder why I didn't keep up with the idea!

How about a jar opener? Use a square of fabric and some of the rubberized shelf liner cut into a square about 3/4 in smaller than fabric. Fold fabric over onto liner, stitch and there you are with a jar opener. Easy and practical and quick to make.

I think those sound adorable. Will that be an ornament or a wall hanging, or?

Still hoping we'll see a picture of the dowel "thingy"

i like the jar opener idea. i did them one year for friends. had to explain to them what it was too.
I ordered the lace zippers from ebay $4.75 for 20 lace zippers. I got a free yard of quilting design fabrics
at this years party. I'll do the pyramid bags for next year. I need about 22 so I'll start now on them. any new ideas, i love to hear about them. thanks everyone.

I love hearing all the ideas too. I hope this next year to make a project per month and more if it's a small one. I really like that idea of the jar opener too.

I may try one of those soon. Some things like that are just plain useful, and especially for any of us with arthritis.
