I love Shout as well, but I prefer the gel in the bottle with the orange scrubber under the cap.

My go to stain remover is a bar of Ivory soap(not dish detergent). Wet the stain and rub in the soap. Scrub soap into the fabric then leave it until you wash the item. As this is an old stain you might want to leave it in for a number of hours or overnight. It will not hurt if it dries. I find this takes out the majority of stains. Sometimes it may only dull the stain, in which case just repeat.
Do you know what the stain is? If it is blood be sure to use cold water but I have even removed old blood stains with the Ivory treatment.

I like to use Zout (not Shout)....sometimes hard to locate, but check the grocery store or Walmart.

Really need to know what the origin is first. How big it is and what kind of material is it on. Hopefully, you haven't tossed into the dryer but often we don't see them til we pull them out after drying. In a dishpan Try a mixture of Dawn and vinegar. let it sit for 20-30 minutes. or you can let it set in a mix of Dawn and ammonia. Agitate it a little. Then rinse and see if that helps.
