hotmail scam ??? not sure
#31
I had an email provider send me an email recently telling me the same thing, EXCEPT instead of replying to their email or sending anyone anything, they asked if I wanted to keep the account active that I log in to the account at some point in the next 30 days. That was all.
Good instincts, mile hi quilter!!

Go to your account site. If it is a real notification, they would have sent the email to your account - NOT to your email address. If you have a REPORT SPAM button, use it now so others can be alerted to this scam.

If it was real they would give you more time to to re-register and when Yahoo updates their service they warn that this will take place 3 or 4 days in advance and that it may cause delays when logging in--I just talked to my Aunt she does the Hotmail and she hasn't recieved that message She suggest you Google Hotmail and check with them BUT DO NOT SEND YOUR INFO to that E/M--- This is most likely a virus

hot mail, aol, yahoo---NONE OF THEM WILL EVER REQUEST YOU TO GIVE THEM YOUR PASSWORD!!! IF YOU RECEIVE ANY EMAIL REQUESTING PRIVATE INFORMATION --IT IS A SCAM!!!---NEVER EVER RESPOND TO SUCH AN EMAIL- BEST TO COPY IT AND FORWARD IT TO YOUR MAIL SERVER SO THEY CAN LOOK INTO IT AND BLOCK IT.
if there is ever reason for you to change your password or any personal information you will receive a legitimate email directing you to go to YOUR ACCOUNT- where you will be able to read any policy changes and make any changes---
it will NEVER BE SENT IN A FORM WHERE YOU WOULD RESPOND WITH YOUR PRIVATE INFORMATION!!!
