Phoey on cleaning! Try making room for a hospital bed in your living room. DH had surgery on his leg on Monday. Our bedrooms are upstairs, so the hospital bed came Wednesday.

I never have been a disciplined housekeeper, now I have a legitimate excuse! I will say a friend came and helped me take down the xmas decorations Sunday.

We usually have the "cast of thousands" at our place. My husband thinks it's because it's inviting, a homely, friendly place. I think it's because they don't want to trash their place! Ah well, enough Bah-humbugging...but seriously the amount of housework and yardwork around here at this time of year is MONUMENTAL. Our home is actually a giant labyrinth filled with ephemera. I did that yesterday - but, of course, it's cool in the US this time of year. Even Florida is cool today. My sewing student will be here shortly, so the house is back in order. God forbid she think I'm a messy person :)..
