How do you get rid of CFL light bulbs?
#83
For DECADES we have gone to school, worked, worshiped, shopped and even lived in buildings that had fluorescent light bulbs in them...and NEVER batted an eye!
But NOW over the last 10 years that fluorescent bulbs have started being used in "regular" light fixtures, and not just the kind that take the long tubes...suddenly they are the "devil bulbs"????
Seriously??????????
I bet that many of you have the tube fixtures in your house...kitchen, basement, garage, etc.
And those tube fixtures have more than twice the mercury than the CFL's!
Until every one of you who complains about CFL's stops working, shopping, worshiping, etc. in ANY building with fluorescent tube lights, your argument about using CFL's in the home is hypocritical.

If you go to the 99 cent or dollar stores they still have the old fashioned bulbs. We have started stocking up on them since the curly cues contain mercury and isn't it funny that someone can tell you what to do in your own house and we just do it.
