I have a magnet on my fridge that reads, "Quilting forever, housework whenever", that is my mantra. I bought this magnet in Kalona, IA last year. I need to cross stich it, too.

Findly I can come out of the closet. Yes, quilting is top on my list and housework near the bottom. Thank goodness I can do laundry while I sew!

What's it going to matter in ten years how many times I mop my floors, dust my furniture, vacuum. I think once a week is enough! There are just two of us here, we are not too messy. I must say that when I retired (3 years ago) I thought I had to sweep, dust, mop and do all that other stuff EVERY day! Didn't take long for that to get old, I woke up to the fact that if I was going to work all the time I would not have any more time to quilt than I had when I was working public job. So now when I feel like quilting I go in my room and close the door. I'll get around to that other stuff one day!! Life is too short to spend it sweeping and dusting!!

So thats why I don't get to do as much quilting as I want.....truth is, my conscience gets to me, I have to have things in order before I start......drives me bats! :?
