I have the best husband in the world too. He supports my hobby, complimenting my work, holding the quilts for photos.
He has taken great care of me during the recovery of my 7 surgeries in the last 3 years. He cooks sometimes and does the dishes most of the time. He is very generous and loving. I have been so blessed!!!

I remember one time when DH touched my heart. We were in a casino hotel, I was at the bottom of an escalator waiting for him (he didn't know I was there). I saw him at the top. He was talking to a young boy about 10, couldn't hear them but could tell the boy was a little afraid to get on the escalator. I could tell DH was helping him and saying, like, let's get on together, 1, 2, 3.... they came down together.
That's what he is like.

I am a bit of a parrot freak. My husband will take me miles to a pet shop, then he puts his seat back and has a sleep while I look at the parrots and play with them. He also takes me on what we call a wild goose chase to find a quilt shop where he waits for me too. He is terrific.

Blessings to all your "husbands/partners". I so miss having someone in my life to share it with. Maybe this year the Good Lord will open my life to someone. I hope this is in His plan.
Give your your Hubby's a hug from your quilty friend and may God bless you both
Happy Holidays, Lovequilts

How many of you have one good story of why you have the best husband.
Just this week mine cooked supper so I could keep sewing.( mind you I was home all day sewing).

After a very horrible Saturday (PDA section explains it), I came down with a terrible flu bug, he made dinner from Sunday-Wednesday (because he knew I was sick) and today he is making a batting bar for my quilting frame complete with mounting brackets, all the while understanding that all I really wanted to be doing is sleeping (he even loaded the dishwasher).
Yep, I will keep him (sorry ladies)!

In 2001, we were still living in Michigan. I was in the hospital for a week for migraines and various other types of headaches. The hospital was in Chicago, Illinois almost a three hour drive one way from our home. My husband would work half a day, take off and drive to Chicago to spend a few hours sitting with me while he ate his take-out supper even though I was so medicated I could hardly open my eyes let alone visit with him. Then he would drive the almost three hours home. He did this every day that I was hospitalized. When I told him he didn't have to do it because he would be so tired out, he said he didn't care if I couldn't talk to him while he was there, he just wanted to be with me. I love him more than life itself and anything in it. (I love my sons just as much just differently). My husband is my favorite blessing.
