MILs seem to be either wonderful or NOT...no in between...

I still miss mine, almost more than I miss my mom...they passed within 6 months of each other in 1995.

Not so fond of the 'new' one...thought Grandpa would have had better sense as he had such a jewel the first time...but...I have to remember some of the problems are alzheimers related...however I can still do without the stories about her third ex-husband (and first and second) and how her kids never come visit (anyone wonder why???)

when my MIL died, no one came to the funeral except david's best friend and our own two kids and us. beat that!

That is such a sad thing. I had an aunt like that. There were 9 people at her funeral. I just hope that she is finally happy about something.

By the way, my DMIL was a wonderful lady. Very quiet, very generous. I don't think I ever heard her raise her voice. I was the only one with her when she passed and I considered it her last gift to me because it was beautiful and inspireing.

Your story brought a tear to my eyes cause I have tried so hard with both my mil and fil just to have them treat me link sh--. I finally gave up trying. I love them both but the feeling in not mutual. Now my DM treats my DH like he is her own son, he is the one that has it good.

I so know what its like to have your world turned up side down. maybe ask your mother in-law if there is a problem. she might not relize what she is doing. you are in my prayers. God bless. Penny
