Andii, I do still have the kitties, they are playing with the puppy right now, LOL! Chico(the new puppies name) thinks they are amazing.

I know, my husband and I were talking this morning, we are surrounded by cuteness! I've found the kittens a home, thank god. I just didn't want to split them up yet, as they were too small. Then, someone came along thats going to take them so that's good. They will be leaving next week. Im sooooo attached to them, it will be hard to let them go.

When I had to have my last poodle put down 15-1/2 years ago, I went right out and bought another, won't replace the old dog, but a puppy will sure lift the spirits and take your mind off losing one. I can't do that when my 15-1/2 yr old dogs go, I also have a 2 year old Chihuahua, she would be best being an only. Good luck, crate will make the training easier.

It's a blessing and a curse to love animals so much, isn't it? I want to rescue and keep every one I see. My next door neighbor called yesterday and said one of the wild cats in the neighborhood had kitties in his yard and I am fighting myself not to go look at them...once I see them I know I'll bond with them, actually, I've already bonded with them since I heard about them  It's been raining a lot and I keep thinking of them being wet. Anyway, enjoy all of the joy the babies bring playing together and the thought that they've got a home to go to.

I'm a boxer mom too. My husband & I have now owned 4 boxer girls & they are so loving. It's too bad they have such a short lifespan .Our -Maggie Mae is now 5 yr old. She weighs 73# & sleeps with us every night. She doesn't know she is a dog!! I will probably put her picture up as my Avatar. Maggie is a gorgeous dark brindle.

So happy to hear you have a new puppy in your home and your son's grief is becoming joy. Sad to know your other boxer was stollen. We forget that people do steal dogs for a lot of different reasons.

I have two 60 lb dogs. From all that I have read , if the humans are not the pack leaders , the dog takes that role and can become obnoxious. Suggestion...get son and pup enrolled in obedience class post haste.
