I'm sure most of you read my thread about my boxer going "missing"(or stolen, more likely).

Well, my son(he's 15) has grieved and grieved over her, so yesterday we got him a new boxer puppy! He loves him, and slept with him curled in his arms all night last night on the couch. He said he was afraid his bed was too high for him to sleep in, and he cried when he put him in the crate, LOL! Little booger is going to be spoiled rotten.

He's 8 weeks old, white with a brown/black patch over one eye. He's soooooo cute.

I haven't seen my son this happy since Duchess went missing. I was debating whether to get him another one or not, I was kind of afraid that it was too soon, but I think I did the right thing.

I haven't had a puppy around in a while, so its awesome. Not so awesome is going to be training him....ughh.....I am a terrible trainer!

I'll post pics of him later.

How fun! :)

Reminds me of when we got our dog (she was 6 wks old when we got her.)

The kids argued over whose room she got to sleep in. DD won out on the stipulation that she leave Lady in her cage. Yeah right...that puppy started whimpering and 2 secs. later she was in bed with Erin...

And that's where Lady slept for the next 6 years until Erin went to college!

Lady STILL thinks that if someone is sleeping in that bed in Erin's old room that she (Lady) needs to be sleeping in that bed, too! LOL

CarrieAnn, that's a boxer in your avatar, right?

She reminds me of Duchess, the one that's gone. She would always bring her toys to us to play.

Aww! Your poor son was hurt just so someone could get a free dog-how awful. I'm glad he is enjoying his new pal-they become just as much a part of the family as any human can :)

Love those boxers! Glad you got a new one for your son. I grieved over a dog that I thought ran away until I realized that her dish and chain were gone too. A neighbor that always tried to buy her moved a day or two before she went missing and I think he came back for her either that or my first dh sold her for beer money---which was a major possibility. It's like loosing a member of the family.
