I am so glad you got your son the puppy, teenage years are hard enough without something like that happening. Let your son help in the potty training, and when it is acomplished, this will also bring him more happiness as he becomes more close and you will see your son bloom with every new thing he is able to teach the puppy, I had animals around every sence two of my boys were diagnosed with agressive adhd and sever ADHd on top of mental issues with my now 24 yr old, animals are so good for children and extremley good for teenagers as they fight with hormones and cecity.
