I think it's the heat all over the U.S.. The weather people are predicting a very cold winter all around, so maybe a good hard freeze will help.

I'm from Houston and one night when a teenager, I looked down (after turning the table lamp on) and a scorpion was next to my bare foot!!! I think I got him but never found his partner. I was told they travel in two's.

We are soooo lucky in the UK , no scorpions , no big spiders , only one bad snake (which is rare to see) and really only Foxes in the furry thingies catagory

Here's a little story for y'all. Sometimes large cactus are harvested from the wild. Probably not legal, but the cactus found it's way into someone's home. They thought they heard noises, they thought they saw the cactus shake. Yes, they heard noise, yes they say it shake. It was home to a zillion scorpions that quickly filled the house. True or not, dunno. Always liked that story though.....

When we moved to a different house we had wireworms. They are creepy little things and I am happy to report that we get less every year. We have sprayed and although we bought some poison to get rid of them, after reading the instructions and warnings we decided the cure was worse than the original problem so didn't use it. They are harmless but they creep me out!
