There Is a Long Tradition
There is a long tradition of men that sew. The NYC garment center was filled with men who sat behind the sewing machines for hours and hours. Many other countries still have men who sew for a living.

My DH wandered into my cave today and I put him to work cutting out pockets and handles for my purses. He then wanted to sew something so I let him sew the bag together on the machine with a walking foot. He did good. Then he wanted to use the other Viking so I let him topstitch one of the bags. Did good on that also. So then he wanted to put the magnetic snaps on the bag and being an engineer he really knows how to figure out things that take me awhile. So anything is possible. However I read him this story and he said don't get any funny ideas! MEN!!!!

If he gave up a trucking job to work at the sewing factory, then maybe you corrupted him.
But if he was unemployed and needed a job and got this one because of you, then the next time he says, "You're sorry," you tell him, "No, it's 'You're welcome for me training you so that this door opened for you at the sewing factory.' "
Congratulations to him, by the way! And we will expect to see pictures of his quilts.

He has never sewn on anything other than a small brother home sewing machine much less these huge commercial sewing machines. He did great!
And . . . . . .
Today was dh's first day of work at the sewing factory. He keeps stopping the tv as we are watching "santa claus is coming to town" to tell me, "you're sorry." "it's all your fault." "you corrupted me." "what other things are you going to get me into?" "you took my manliness away."
he enjoys it and likes the group of ladies he is working with in his department.

well now you have your machine back because it will seem slow to him....bet he is having a great time at work and it has to be fun for the ladies also...diversity in the lunch room...you know they will start bringing him homemade goodies so you should get the jump on that and send him with a plateful of something to share. LOL next year you should write a book or TV pilot
