I put a thin dish towel over the applique when fusing. It helps keep any sticky off the iron as well as avoiding scorching the applique block.

Don't you hate when that happens? If you can, remake that block. If not, can you change the applique to cover it? Let us know what you end up doing. You never know when your solution will save us sometime!

It had to be on an applique block, they are so much work.

Always, Always, ALWAYS use an applique pressing sheet!!! Saves the iron and the fabric!

Walking away was the right thing to do!!!

If you shoot yourself then you'll get blood all over it. That is a b*tch to get out too. lol Can you modify the applique? Rumor has it there's always room for a butterfly and if the spot is really big, make it Mothra.
