The directions seem lengthy, but they are very easy to make.
Thanks for the link to a neat pattern. I think I would add one thing to this patter and that is a spot to hold a pen/pencil. Maybe a piece of elastic on the inside of the spine where it folds. It doesn't seem right to have a pad to write on without something to write with close by.

You're right, citruscountyquilter! I have started to add a pen loop. Not sure why the designer omitted one, because it's so easy to add!

    marymay, lol! Too funny!

KenZ, what a great site! Plenty of ideas there, I seem to be drawn to those zip bags for some reason. Such a variety of ways to make them unique.

i'll post a pic as i go on the crazy 3/4" hexes. picked it back up today. fingers better, neck and shoulders hurting
Got about 50 dish/face cloths made. you could do those. so many patterns knit or crochet. great gifts and you can hand them out to everyone. make them in all colors. i did mine out of 100% cotton. even my son 24, likes them.

I'll be watching this for more ideas.

I made another of the organizer wallets today from this pattern:

    http://www.lbg-studio.com/2011/10/12...organizer.html

I was able to add the elastic pen loop in the center very easily. I tucked the raw edge of the elastic underneath the side of the pocket that holds the notepad and stitched it, then I did another short stitching to make it the correct width for holding an average pen (you can see here that it's holding my fabric marker). Hope that makes sense!
