I sure do love this boy!

We picked up two of my grandsons last week. So far everything is wonderful, as it always is when they visit.

I bought a t-shirt on sale last fall for my younger grandson, who is 11. He has Aspergers, is very bright but emotionally still around the 6 year old stage. He loves anything to do with computers, especially his Nintendo DS.

I finally was able to give him the shirt, and except to sleep he hasn't taken it off in two days. Tonight I told him that he had to change the shirt.

His response? "So you can wash it and I can wear it tomorrow?"

Yes, it's in the washer now.

Here he is in his new favorite shirt.

A quilt is like a good life. It's full of mistakes, but, in the end, it looks pretty good.

Time to run out and get a couple more of the same shirt. At some point it is going to need replacing due to wear or growth and it isn't always easy to find things that they love. Good job, Grandma!

I know how you feel. My three Grandchildren are a blessing. I am SO glad they are in our lives.

What a cutie! Hope the visit continues to go well. think of all the laundry soap you are saving on since he wants to wear it continuously. Isn't it great to find a perfect gift!

When my son was about 4 years old he had a new shirt and wanted to wear it every day to preschool. And, instead of trying to reason with him and try to convince him to change his shirt I washed this shirt every night...for, at least , a week. (probably more like 2 weeks). That's a great memory. He knew what he wanted and didn't hurt anyone

You are so right - it didn't hurt anyone! Your son was lucky to have you for a Mom.

He is so cute. Glad he loved his shirt. And, you are a doll for letting him wear it everday. People who have kids will just smile when they see him wearing it day after day and the opinion of those who don't have kids want matter.
