good job. I took wilton class 40 years ago. Did a lot of cakes..a lot. Don't do so much now only for family. Have baby shower coming up. Will do a hooded bassinette (an heirloom) with a star tip quilt hanging over the side.
I find that if you dip your offset spatula in hot water, wipe it off then swipe it once over the frosting it smooths it out beautifully. keep practicing, your family will love it LOL.

You have done a great job on your cake.
Like anything else we do.....it takes practice.

It's as pretty as the quilts that are posted. Fortunately, we don't have cake eaters in our family so I don't have to try to learn another craft.

I did that years ago. I don't do cakes anymore cause I am too unsteady. Have lots of fun!

Looks good and a little tip to getting it smooth is to dip your spatula in water, shake off and smooth over the icing.

Works great! Here is a wedding cake I made with no instruction at all. and NO I don't bake, or cook unless I have to.

Please tell me it's chocolate on the inside :-D - my husband is really into baking and doesn't have a true hobby so I keep threatening him that I'll sign him up for one of Joann's Wilton Cake classes. After looking at what you did - I might just have to do that for him. He'll thank me later, and I'll be glad to take a slice of the fruit of his labor, LOL.

Explosive blessings, abundance and inspiration to you all!
