That is so pretty. I'm lucky to get the frosting on the cake. You are doing a great job.

Your project looks good enough to eat. I took cake decorating 40 years ago and still use some of the techniques. Have fun.

I did that class too!! Loads of fun! Actually my DD (17 yr old) and I did them together (we did two) and had a BIG time. She loves to cook :D We have been wanting to take the fondant class but haven't had time. It was one of MANY classes I took in my attempt to find a hobby...all before that first quilting class....ahhh yes...been addicted to quilting ever since :)

Looks great! I've been decorating cakes since the mid-80's when my kids were little. It' comes in really handy....espeically once you can do a shower cake in under 30 minutes and the ladies want to know how many HOURS it took! In case you want to play with duplicating it, I iced a big square smooth with chocolate icing (new mom was a chocoholic) then with a quilting ruler, marked it into 9 blocks, then into Ohio Stars. Filled in the marked spaces with small stars in pastel colors to make the design, then did a quick bottom and top shell border. OOOOOOH, AAAAAAH....and only I knew how quick it was! :)
