I would choose B or C. Definitely not A. Do not open that door. Praise God for a son with his head on straight
Another thought. Perhaps take it to your local elementary school to be given out discretely to a young lady w/same name who is in need. --- My daughter, a elem school nurse, was given some items for Christmas distribution when she came upon a little purse w/mirror and coin purse inside. She told the youngster that she'd thought of her when she saw it and asked if she would like to have it. The little one said, "this is the nicest gift I ever received" and was so happy. We can only imagine what she had received before to make such a small item so meaningful.
Also, check with the local shelters.

Hang onto it for a couple of years then donate it.
If they reconnect and the stockings gone that would be awkward.
If you don't want her back in your life make NO CONTACT....dont give her the stocking...she then calls him and tells him how sweet you are and how she wants him back.

I would carry it around with me in the car until Christmas. (Although, I drive around a lot...) If I ran into someone with the same name, I would go to the car, get it, and present it to the person. I would not tell them any of the background, and just simply say "Merry Christmas". Perhaps that person will pay it forward and perform Random Acts of Kindness as well....

I think I would keep it around for a couple of years...just in case.... they get back together. You'd hate to have to explain to her why it's no longer around and you never know what might happen. It's not that unusual for couples to break up, only to get back together and be perfect for each other the second time around. Just my thought.
