Option C - sell it on this Board or on ebay
You could also inquire at the local Womens' Shelter if anyone has the name and if yes, donate it there

Your son dodged a bullet - Good Christmas present for both of you

Can't you cut out the piece with her name on it?
(I wouldnt put anything over it because you just never know when someone might discover that there was someone else's name on there and that could be really hurtful)

Whew! I thought maybe the name was b*&$h. I know lots of those but no Carissa. A stocking is waaay cheaper than a
divorce so you really aren't out as much as you could have been with a dil and maybe gchlidren to be fought over. And don't tell son you were right, he doesn't want to hear it.

So do I. As soon as you give it away, they'll get back together and next Christmas she'll wonder where her stocking is....

D)Can you remove the part with her name and wait until he has anoother friend you can make the stocking for? Or would you rather be done with this stocking for good?

I am going to go out on a limb here. . . I think you should get it to her. She may not realize it now - but someone she did not know very well spent valuable time making her something special so she felt included. You opened your arms to her (as most of us would) knowing she did not have family to be with on such a special holiday. I think if it were me - I would feel good giving something to someone who without close family may not be headed in the right path or making the best decisions. Maybe one day she will look at that and remember that there are good people that do things without obligation.
