I have a giant huntsman that hangs around my house - don't have any cockroaches, silverfish etc (although he must have a nice supply somewhere as he doesn't seem to get any thinner...)

I live in Louisiana and I have geckos and small lizards around here all the time. My cats like to watch them out on my patio from the open front door. I really think if one got in the house, the cats would walk the other way and not waste their energy trying to catch one.

ROL!!!!!! We haven't had lizards yet....but chipmunks, birds....yip, they're quite a surprise.

My lab was used as a working dog until her retirement - she had an incredibly soft mouth anyway she came in from the garden looking very pleased with herself and obviously had something in her mouth so I held out my hand and said 'dead' her command to give up whatever she was carrying and into my hand she dropped a lovely little field mouse was so surprised I dropped it and then spent weeks trying to catch the little fella - finally caught up with him and released him back into the fields
