Back here in Iowa we have had night time lows of 18, too soon to be this cold!! The upside is; the flying insects are gone, much to my and the old bay mare's liking. This Summer was horrible with the No-see-ums. We are expecting temps in the 50's too. Nothing for snow accumulation, been in the air so it's getting close!!
I did see a Garter snake escape into my garage about a month ago, I am going to guess it has found some cozy spot for the winter.

It's middle 50's with sunshine and a few clouds building up in Southern Idaho, but unfortunately, a winter storm is coming on Monday. Time to enjoy what sun we have now!!

Cold in Michigan. Bound to get worse!!! Am not a winter person, will try to stay in and sew as much as possible. Hard with 6 year old twins. They can't wait to get the sleds out!!!

The Ginko trees here do not like the cold. The leaves will all drop at once in a day or two. They are beautifully yellow right now.
