lauriejo, I like wreaths for front doors. A welcoming circle of love. The Qzark Star would give that effect even with the center closed.

meanmom, I share your problem. I either like my fabrics too much to give up or I don't think they are 'good enough' or just right fo the recipient. January was easier to choose because I didn't know who the receiver will be. I have enough red to share.

Default Purple Gumball quilt batik fabrics

these are the fabrics that came as a kit for the purple gumball quilt. I am not sure I like them all. The pattern calls for 10 fabrics in the same color way. I love batiks. I may have to go and see if I can get some others as I need to make it larger than the pattern says. So I may get 10 more purple batiks to add to it. the finished blocks will be 12 inches, finished size according to pattern is 60 x 72 inches. I want to make it a queen size. I will take pictures of the process once I get going on this. Just finished ironing with magic sizing since there are so many half square triangles.

Meanmom- sending one in that you want back, that makes it more of a desire to lose the weight so you can win the pot.

Once I get all the FQ's in I will take a picture of the pot so you can see what you will be receiving when you win.

I mailed mine from the grocery store this evening. I also mailed a half yard I owed someone who sent Marine fabric for Dan's quilt but didn't want money. - just a trade. I could have done some it time ago but I have so much trouble choosing fabric for anyone else. She had mentioned purple, so some purple and green grapes are on the way. Woohoo, I'm all caught up.

Cindy, are you feeling the need for a stronger purple? Those will all be fine once they are stitched together, but I can see where if you're adding, you'd add bright. Connecting Threads has a couple of pretty purple batiks in their Winter Night collection.

Off to ebay to add feedback. I bought rotary blades from two different sellers and they came super quickly. That's always a plus.

Goodnight, all.

I am thinking a brighter deeper purple, like a royal purple and a lighter purple instead of the cream with purple.

hey, y'all! jeanne i may join you on ww. wish we could go in person! i have been on a major rage against my daughter's 'bad' choice not to go to her grandmother's funeral. i have taken it as a personal affront and withdrawal of support. as usual, didn't leave myself a graceful way to back down with my cannon shot foot... well, not quite ready to back down anyway. however, trying to be more positive, LOUD DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!! i plan to quilt olivia's quilt today and take it with us to give to her tomorrow. she is now 5 months old! not quite in college, but i'm sure she's studying for her SAT'S, so will need it for warmth as she crams for the tests! (LOL). i had my disability medical exam yesterday. it was a terribly cold day and i'd had no sleep and no food because i was all caught up in this bruhaha with my daughter and i could hardly move, i hurt so bad, and i felt like a total fraud! i have good days, and worse days, and this was definitely, one of the worsT. top it off, i got out to the car and the door was ajar, a cup of water was spilled on the console and i was running slow because of all the aforementioned and i had asked my husband to call and remind me of the time. well, he had done all the other stuff, and forgot to call, so i started mentally feuding with him, too. when you have fibro myalgia those fueds setup a firestorm in your body and it's like getting run over by a battallion of french bicycle cops. i was a bully looking for a fight! i was finding anybody and anything to blame my problems on, except me. after the x-rays, i just came home and went to bed. pulled the covers, the dogs, and the cats over my head and pretended i wasn't here. i'm not expected in until tomorrow! i'll call when i get here! meanwhile, y'all take care, and watch out! there's a meanie you'll want to avoid!! ( very small smile)( how many calories does anger and embarassment burn?)

Thanks for thinking of that!!! I am sure we have all wondered what the pot looked like.

So far my Jan eating has been awful, with DH recovering from surgery & me sick with a cold...I am being a bad girl. Why do we look for comfort from food? I will get back on track soon....promise!

Cindy, congrats on being able to return to work. I love the days I get to work. I am a nurse and work PRN. I am glad Miss Lucy is feeling better too. The only bottle of Pepto I have ever bought was when my poor Patches got diarrhea from all the meds they pumped her full of to get her well enough to come home with us. We were at the shelter when she came in. It was her and her sister. The sister was solid white but looked grey from all the fleas on her. Patches looked grey and black.....she was actually black and white. They were rescued from an animal horder. They were covered in fleas. So anemic their gums were white. When they walked in with them I said "I want them". The cat we were picking up was our only pet so we had plenty of room and a large fenced in yard. The sister, the white puppy, didn't make it. Patches did and she came home with us three days later. She was full of many different kinds of worms and it took us quite a while to get her well buy she was precious. She isn't with us anymore. I miss her all the time. I haven't gotten another dog, but when we do it will be another rescue. We do still have the cat.....though I will say, I think he came with more than 9 lives!

I weighed today and I am losing..... doing the happy dance!! I knew my hands were less swollen but didn't think I had lost anything. On hubby's off days we eat out a lot. I have learned to really take control there. We go where he and the kids want to go....if I don't like it I am sure to eat less!

The oatmeal at the McDonald's here is really yummy. I don't know about nutrition value or calories. I just knew it had to be healthier than a biscuit.

Just now figuring out all the different things you can do on this website, but how do you login to individual threads. I know I'm to late for this month but would love to be part of group starting in February.

Thanks,
