See if you can find some arnica gel at the pharmacy. That speeds up recovery from bruises.

Did you know it is a fact that all quilters can see to do, with a black eye, is quilt? :lol: Cold packs (ice cubes in a ziploc bag wrapped in a wash cloth) really does take the swelling down. 5 minutes once an hour, for a couple days. Cold makes blood rush to area, when it warms back up, it takes swelling with it. :thumbup:

Ice still is OK. Might not help but won't hurt anything.... I think you should watch the colors that it turns and make a black, blue, red, green and yellow quilted piece when it's all over....with some stitches showing, of course, so you remember that part! <wink> Feel better soon!

I'm sorry, falls are unexpected and not much fun. However I do believe you can not cook, do dishes, run the cleaner and you know the rest of it for at least 3 weeks right? Ok hubby confess did you push her down in the woods? LOL
