My daughter's podiatrist has ORDERED her to wear crocs. Wonder if he warned her about this. I'll have to tell her about it.
    Thanks

That isn't the first warning I've heard about crocs. If you ever go on escalators, stay away from the edges. I used to wear crocs but my feet started to hurt in them so now I stick with Birkenstocks.

I wear Crocs every day at work in the Operating Room. From experience, I agree with what you are saying, they can be slippery, also the toes can catch on the floors if you tend to shuffle a bit. They are very comfortable but be careful.

Thanks for the info. I will check mine out for worn soles and watch where I walk.

So if Crocs are just plastic, what makes them so special? One of the girls that works for me wears them all the time and I noticed my sister has a pair of sandals.

I wear bare feet as much as possible and hate wearing shoes. What makes one love them so much?

They're a special kind of plastic-they mold themselves to the shape of your foot and are very comfortable right from the get-go. I hate wearing shoes too but my feet are too touchy to go barefoot. So I wear the least constricting shoes possible. Crocs fit me very loosely so I liked that about them. In the winter I wear Ugg boots and they feel like they're strangling my feet.

A special kind of plastic. Not the plastic they used to make the kids jellies. That kind of plastic is hot and will stick to the bare feet. These don't. I usually wear socks with them because I have diabetes but you can easily go without.
