I have a Nook color - and got one for my DH for his birthday, too. We love them!

I'm holding out for an ipad. It's on my wish list but so far not in the budget....I'm working on it though. MU DH has an e-book and loves it.

I have an Ipad and love it. I download books from amazon alot. It also allows me to download my school books to it instead of having to buy big books and drag them around. Love it!!!!!

Word around my writing forums is that Amazon will be pushing a new Kindle model in the fall, just in time for the Christmas buying season. So if you're thinking of getting one, maybe you should wait and see what they're going for. They also might reduce the price of the older models when the new comes out.

I have a Kindle and love it. There are many free books available on Amazon. I believe the Kindle is the only ereader that has an LCD screen so you can read outdoors, in the sunlight.

I don't know how I did without a nook. I picked it over a kindle because you can lend your books.

The original nook has the longest battery life. The color not as long, but you can play more games.

Not true. Kindle uses e-ink technology which is the same as the non-color Nook, the Sony, the Kobo, and I'm sure many other lesser-known models. It's only color models that are difficult to read in direct sunlight, because they are backlit. E-ink screens are not backlit, which is why you need an external light source to read.
