I wonder why the name fell out of popularity?[/QUOTE]

I think names go by generation. Often the names that were popular in our grandmothers' generation are chosen for our babies. I notice some new babies being names Audrey and Agnes, which were popular in my mother's generation. I am a 60-something named Linda, after Linda Darnell....she must have been one-great-actress to have so many of us named for her! Did you know there is a Linda Club? http://lindaclub.org/ Linda in Ky

Here I am! There were 5 lindas in my small high school so we all went by first and last name. There is another Linda in our town with my last name. We go to the same doctors. Also I have a sister in law with the same first and last name. Middle initial is also the same.

I'm Lynda, born in 1945. There were 8 Linda's in my 8th grade PE class of maybe 40 girls!

Count me in. I'm a Linda in my 60's. Had several Linda's in my school & know lots of Linda's in my area. Most are close to my age.

When I taught school, I had 7 Debbies (Debbie Reynolds) in one class. One Debbie told me there were 15 Debbies in her home ec class! So, Lindas, enjoy your uniqueness.
