I am 5 years older than my husband-and he is the very best thing to ever happen to me.
I was in an abusive relationship when my ex decided I was too old for him-ex was 2 years older than me-ex left me. The best gift the ex could ever have given me.
Hang in there all of you 'older' women. Age is just a number.

maybe, but the driven business woman who accumulated that wealth - drove off her first husband...she may be older now, but not wiser

Age is a number, and mine is unlisted. What does age have to do with love?

I, too, have a DH that is 2 years & 2 months younger than I am. We will be married 40 years come August. When ever he gets to teasing me, I will tell him "hey little boy, respect your elders". We both enjoy the tease. I will also tease that now that we have our kids raised, I am now working on raising my DH.

My thoughts, exactly! I would not want her problem when trying to find a suitable mate. She would definitely need a pre-nup!

Editing to add that I knew a couple with a 9 year gap, with the wife older, and they lived happily together well into their 90's.

She might find that a man in her age category is looking for either a purse or a nurse!

A few years after my DF passed, my DM married a dear man 10 years her junior. She always joked that she needed someone to take care of her when she got old (she was 69 at the time). And he did.....for 27 years
