Yes! The Strand also has lots of budget-priced books outside to look through at your leisure. Now, I'm going to be missing mountains and civilization all day...

My interview on Monday went very well. I was in the field of reproductive medicine for a long time and this lab is a local sperm bank that was recently purchased. We have a lot of friends and acquaintances in common and I know I can do the job. I have another interview on Thursday afternoon in another lab I know well. Will keep you posted.

I am still here. Have the last interview and may head back home tonight or early tomorrow morning. I guess things are indeed easier said than done. We planned for both of us to apply for jobs and the one to find one first would go and stay in NYC until school is over, when we finally move all together. I have been away from home now for 11 days and am going insane. Between my MIL making my life miserable, being away from DH and kids and having nothing to do I am having a week from hell. Yesterday I was supposed to have a phone interview at 1 PM and it got postponed to Monday at 12:30. So, I packed my book and went out for a walk and to read a little. It was very windy and a tree fell half a block away from me. So, back inside to me and listen to my MIL speak non-sense. Is true, you can not make head or tails out of her conversations. She is always criticizing people, gossiping about people I don't even know and just yapping away.

I WANT TO GO HOME!!!

Hang in there it will all be over soon. My heart goes out to you. Here is praying and crossing my fingers for you. I know I couldn't be away from my family that long. Good luck.
