Our son did Iraq in 2008 then short term in Soviet Republic of Georgia, Guatemala, and is now in Africa(specific location not to be disclosed)

My father served in WWII and I have an uncle that I never got to know who was killed in WWII. My father's best friend was a POW in Germany for 13 months. At my first job, I worked with a Jewish man with numbered tattoo that was in a camp in Poland. He lost his entire family to the gas chambers.

Thank you to ALL who served and are now serving and thank you to their families. GOD BLESS!

my godson is enroute back to afghanastan for his 3rd tour... all the guys going with him are first timers and say they are glad to have someone w/experiance along...he's army

dh was a fighter pilot in the usmc.. the 2 of them have a good time debating which service is better.. i'm just grateful for all the ones who serve.

make it a point to thank anyone you see wearing a uniform.. sad to say, they are so surprised when you do, and really, who deserves our thanks more?

My son is in the nuclear propulsion dept on the USS Ronald Reagan. We got all set to go see him in San Diego, we're in Ohio, but the ship left port for a month. Of well, he's the Navy's now. Luckily he had to take a 2 month class in Pearl Harbor and we saw him there. I don't think he sees much more than the bottom of the ship, but it goes to a war zone
