I use Pandora for my music. I usually listen to the Singer/Songwriter channel. They play a lot of James Taylor and other seventies music.

I have my IPOD set to play everything on it. Have from the 60's....Elvis, Roy Oberson, Gene Pitney,.....the 70's...Beach Boys, etc. to today's music.......IL Divo............country, rock, easy listening music, religious. As long as it sounds good I'll listen to it. But no "DRUG, violence" type music. I figure there's enough of that in this old world. Don't need to bring it into my sewing room too.

I'm probably the only one who listens to barbershop when I quilt. I learn new songs best by simple repetition, and find I can do both at the same time fairly successfully.

I have very eclectic taste in music. In my new place I have no TV or stereo, but a boom box that plays CD's and cassettes, which I have both of. (it no longer picks up radio, as all radio stations now put out a digital signal, and it is not equipped for that). I also listen to music on Youtube on my laptop. So it might be anything from the Seekers, Junior Brown, opera, classical, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald...... not anything much from the last 35 years though.

I love my audio books I pick up at thrift stores otherwise I am a rock and roller. Love "old time rock and roll" music.

In reading all of these I'd have to say my tastes are most similar to WMUTeach. I also love the Shins and all the bands like them that Pandora plays on their station.

I turn on the TV and listen to murder mysteries/cop shows/etc. the sound is low but I can hear it in the background. If I hear music I tend to sew to the beat of the music, not good for quilting, to fast and oops!!

My husband was listening to a YouTube video with some nice calm music in the background. He said it was nice compared to the Acid rock and heavy metal along with the head banging mosh pit coming from my sewing room....lol
