Bird really needs your help, so hope you can nurse him back to good health. What he must of went through either loosing or pulling all his feathers out. It's going to take lots of loving care to nurse him back.

This is a Quaker parrot (parakeet). They are the same size as conures. This bird is Sarah our old quaker and we also had a sun conure name Sweetie

The reason they are illegal in some states is because if they get lose they can survive and become huge breeding colonies.
We hated giving them up and of course we could have kept the sun conure but they had become a bonded pair and I did not want to split them up

    Sarah a quaker

Quakers I have seen are a dark green, I guess they are different colors. The Sun Conures are beautiful sunny colors.
I would not be able to give up any of my pets, good thing we never move.
Good luck with your new bird.

First came out all of the tail feathers (which are a beautiful red) and then the chest and now wings. I work with him but he won't stop. The vet wants to put a collar on him but that would stress him even more so I will keep my little plucked chicken as is as long as he doesn't hurt himself.

Here is a vest you might want to try. I am going to make one for my little man

Wow hadn't thought of that, thank you so much. I will give it a very good try.
