when my DH had his stroke he did NOT get the tpa in time as he resisted going to the hospital (45 miles away) and then insisted on driving himself (stick shift car, I did not drive stick at the time, yes LEFT side was affected) - a trip I hope never to relive!!
If I had known then what I know now I would have called the ambulance immediately.

I guess he was a typical man!! But that stubbornness helped him get well - he has a lot of determination.

Thanks be to God that he is okay. Will keep him on prayer list.

Also, thank you,PTQUILTS, for listing the signs of a stroke. We should all memorize those signs.
