Irises are my favorite. They come in so many beautiful colors and are easy to raise. Every color has a different smell.
Next is dahlias, cosmos. Although I like most flowers.

Since I was a little girl (that was a long time ago) I have loved pansies. My Grandma used to always have the most beautiful pansies and I have always had pansies in a flower bed when I get out and plant one! I haven't been able to do that the past couple of years. Now I guess I need to do my planting in pots!

Tulips are one of my favorites followed closely by Sweet William. I just wish spring would show up soon, we had snow yesterday.

Columbine flowers in the spring/summer that the hummingbirds come to, and sunflowers in the fall for the birds to eat.

My favorite for years has been a very old Canna. I'ts probably the ancestor of the present Cleopatra. It has long purple stripes on the leaves, the flowers are about 2 fist size and can be all yellow with tiny red dots. Or all red, or all yellow with one petal red, or all red with one petal yellow, or half and half or some other combination. I am eager each morning in summer to get out and see what has bloomed this time.
I'll try to take some pictures when they start blooming, I just cut them down and repotted most of them. You're supposed to cut the leaves down after they've bloomed, but I like the stripes on them so let them go a long time till they have to be thinned out.
