My son has a German Short Hair and he started out doing what you are doing. Even opens her mouth and fiddles around in there. Brushes her teeth. She loves it. I love your dog. He is gonna be big, because his feet are already big. Don't you just love them. He is so pretty.

I have a Shih Tzu the same colors. His nose isn't real smushed. He is the happiest when I drop a piece of fabric, he knows he shouldn't have it. He also likes to get ahold of batting. I usually catch him right after he gets it. It is hard to see in his mouth. He is good for the Groomer and the Vet. Mine is Dusty, looks like a dust mop before he gets groomed. Dusty is 9-1/2 months old. He doesn't learn as fast as my previous toy Poodles did, but when he finally "gets it" he doesn't forget.
Your Eddie is very cute. I think he will be a wonderful companion.

What a little sweetie....a bonus him being clever (my little dog is much loved and follows me everywhere, but has dirt for brains). Good to get him used to handling/clipping. Make sure you get him used to car travel too.

I think Havanese dogs are wonderful. We have a half-Havanese, half-Papillon that is the cutest, smartest thing ever. I remember when I first saw her mother, who was Havanese, I thought she was an okay looking dog, but once I petted her and held her I felt like she exuded happiness. I've never had that feeling from a dog before. Yep, Havanese are great!

I love him! Can't refuse a puppy! Came out of Walmart one cold January morning and two teenagers were standing there with a Chihuahua puppy - of course I had to stop and ask if they were selling him. They told me his mom was 6 pounds and father 3 pounds so he would be small. He's now 2 yrs old and weighs 15 pounds! We love him just the same!
