They sure are cute. I think I would have a hard time raising them myself for pork knowing them from when they were cute and little like that. Bigger pigs I have no problem seeing them on the hoof before they hit my freezer

OMG, they are so darn cute! Makes me feel so guilty that pork is my favorite meat. ;-)

They look so helpless and cuddly!
On the day one of my cousins was born, one of our sows had 14 piglets !!!
So, mom, thinking how wonderful everything was going sent a note to the new mother and informed her that not only did Carolyn share a birthday with 14 piglets, but Uncle Gene was naming the biggest baby girl pig after Carolyn ...
The city-born new mother did NOT appreciate the compliment or the namesake (to say the least)
but, you know? When that girl cousin grew up, and my dad was beginning dementia, she would walk in after years of not seeing him, and say: I am the girl born on the same day as that pig had 14 piglets
and, Dad, KNEW !!! as a matter of fact, she was the first to recognize that Dad was having problems ... but <g> he NEVER forgot that pig, those piglets, or that baby girl ...
isn't that cool??? <wave>

One of my fondest memories from growing up on a farm is getting to "foster" a calf or piglet. I have slept with many a piglet wrapped up in a blanket and given them a bottle in the middle of the night. Great preparation for real motherhood.

We are always best trained when we have had to learn how to care for someone else. <wave>

I had two pet pigs and of course called WIlbur and Charlotte. They were a joy to have. These are sooooooo cute. The State Fair of Texas starts soon and we love to go and walk thru the stables. Thanks for sharing.
