I had to take my Pfaff in for the 2nd time in all the years I had it. The first time back in about 2000 I got a little wild cleaning it and bent something up inside it.
This time I think I got the end of a spool thread wound up in there. I couldn't get the wheel to turn at all.
It made me a little sick inside leaving it at the shop. Hes not a Pfaff dealer but said he works on all machines. I've only heard good things about him,,,,I'm still a little stressed, ok a lot stressed!

I'm pretty rough with my machine. Except for the one time I bent something inside cleaning it I've always been able to get it going myself. I don't like leaving it. I've got my Mom's Domestic out and are going to get it going to give to my DIL. I'm not machineless,,,just Pfaffless. BooHoo

I have had a couple of Pfaffs (post WW2 era) and they are awesome. I felt like I had the Mercedes-Benz on sewing machines. - BUT they are finicky. I did not like the fact that I had to unscrew things to disassemble and clean the bobbin area. I wound up selling them on ebay.
