In MI, since we are only a few miles from the border, we just spend it. the stores take the coins. I would think any bank would take it from you. Another idea is a child. They love to have money from other countries. I always give them the change I have left from my travels.

My nephew lived in Texas and the banks didn't want to exchange Canadain money. But would gladly exchange Mexican money. I Michigan banks don't want pesos.
