I prefer to stay home. I work most holidays. This is the first new year that I was home alone, though. Had a death in dh's family and he and his brother went to help his mother 16 hours away. Spent a very quiet night at work with my dogs. :-)

We had the party at our house and everyone piled in. There were 24 kids and young people from 24 to 5 yrs old and there were 5 real adults. Clean safe fun and all of the young people and kids who were at our house without a parent stayed over. So we had 5 young guests in addition to our own 12 that are at home.

Party at our house was fun. We had 15 kids ranging in age from 23 to 15. No alcohol! They played board games, Wii, and watched movies. 8 of them spent the night, I fed them waffles about 10:00 and they headed home. The 4 of us had a nice dinner on New Year's Day & played cards most of the day. It was very relaxing. Last night we went to see "A Chorus Line". Now it is back to every day life!
