The first time I met my future husband family it was at his sister wedding. Here are the names of some of his friends and relatives that I met. Unk, Tweek, Toots, Pork, Nuckie, fishing Gram and Fat Gram, buckethead and Monny. His Dad is Bucky and his sister is pook or Dune. Needless to say it took awhile before I learned everyones real name.
His Dad was one of 4 people that call me Pammy.

I know I can't remember them all but a group of us junior high school kids all had nicknames that we all ran together addressing "yo, hum, pickett (me), ah, fly try, hutta tahpa tahpa, limpa, moppa, heada, enda, cuda, pack, _____, wompa.

Sorry it was way back about 44 years ago.

My daughter has friends that everyone called by their last name. Pieck, Holst and Bean. When my daughter got married the judge said out loud I'm suppose to ask Bean for the ring. It made for a funny memory.

My dd Lisa was nicknamed ladybug, at 40+she is still collecting ladybug themed things. Her little brother called her E-buh.
my dgd Elizabeth is called Lizard by her two big brothers. my sisters were called Squirt and Skirt, my younger brother Punk. When he became an Uncle, he became Uncle Punkle. His wife hates it, so his nieces and nephews refuse to call him anything else. I have never had a nickname.

The first daughter in each household on Mom's side was called Margaret. Middle names were all different. Anne, Winifred, Julia , and me Mary. My daughter is Margaret Rose. DGM was called Maggie, Mom stayed Margaret. I am Peggy and my girl is called Margie. She had three sons ...so it ended there.

My bil and sil both call my husband Bubba - which I hate. He is a really smart guy and definitely NOT what I would have considered a bubba. But - he is from a southern family - growing up he had an Uncle Bubba and an Uncle Junior. We have been married 22 years and I still have trouble remembering wehat his uncles real names were.

Had an aunt we called sister, because that is what the adults of

the family called her. I was married for many years before I

knew her as ETHEL KNOX, she had always been SISTER.
