I agree with everyone else who thinks this way. What is society coming to?

This one has to be my worst choice too. Makes me cringe every time I see it.

I fast forward through the awful ones but always watch the Hershey Kisses ring their bells - love it each year!

ugh I hate those. I mute them every time. They are up there with the boxer announcer one (let's get ready to bundle) that makes my ears bleed.

eta: same with the idiotic verizon or whatever one with James Earl Jones and that other guy. I feel like James Earl Jones has really stooped low with this campaign.

And what about the Herbal Essences commercials that make it sound like the women are having a big O in the shower.

I love the baby one by Nationwide.

The funny thing is, I'm on a scrapbooking message board and almost every single person that posted loved the Joe Boxer commercial. I guess it shows the difference in demographics between quilters and scrapbookers. lol.

BUT a question for quilters - in this year's Lexus Christmas commercial the lady is sewing the big red bow that will go on top of a Lexus. Can anyone tell if the machine she's using is a Featherweight? By the time I realize that's the commercial it's gone on to the car.
They show a quick glimpse of her foot on a treadle. I think that's a pretty classy ad even if it's not that realistic.

I agree with you on the jerking commercials! The worst! Love the jingle bells and shipped my pants - but, we never see them here anymore......

I'm wondering on the boxer split. I'm mid 30s, grew up with classical music, then into industrial and metal, grew up with MTV classics like Beavis and Butthead. Sexuality doesn't offend me (was at 97 Worchester MA Family Values concert and wasn't offended), but I do find the violence levels to be excessive (I find the US replacement stunt worse than the original stunt.) and I have serious issues on the female vs male sexuality on television. Flo is sexier than the boxer ad - she's selling car insurance! VS is soft core and I'm seeing no debates near the boxer level. That's a bigger problem that children are being taught. Because no matter how tacky Miley Cyrus was on MTV - the song is FAR more offensive and he's a willing cohort in the publicity stunt - he's worse, but there was nothing on his disgusting creeper act, just on the horror of what Miley did. It's MTV Awards. I've seen Howard Stern, Marilyn Manson and Prince show their naked rears before, and those are the tame years - stupid publicity stunts are fully expected there.
