Cindy, you now have a pm from me with info. Hoping all goes well with your mom.

I'm a stress eater too and just because eater...just because it's there, just because I'm bored, just because it's Tuesday, Friday, or whatever.

Going to meet with friends today in a little group/class.. The Prairie Women Piecers.

Hope me you all have a good day.

I am stilling here bored while mom is in surgery. I forgot my hand work, don't know if I had it I could work on it right now as I didn't get much sleep last night. She was taken back into the OR at 730 this morning, have a few more hours before surgery is finished. Dad was here but with his health issues couldnt stay with me, took him home once they took mom back in OR. We both were with her till then. He will come back up once she is in a room.

Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. I know she can use them.

Welcome to the new comers and I look forward to reading all the chatter.

I've decided this month I will eat as a peskatarian. (Basically a vegetarian who also eats fish) My daughter has been one for a few years. I'm going with little sugar, no soda, little bread, exercise, and lots of water. This is what I've done in the past and it works for me and I feel great. I've just never gone without meat.

To complicate things, my husband, who has been working out of state for over a year and a half, is coming home permanently tomorrow! The family is excited about this - it's just that he's a 'meat and potatoes' kind of guy. Gonna be tough to stick to what I know works for me. But I'm pretty determined.

Can't wait to see if my diligence pays off. =D

Down in the dumps somewhat this afternoon. Had a stray kitty - I thought about 2 months old - dropped off in the neighborhood and he walked with me for a couple of days. Well, I took him into the garage and gave him food, water and a dry spot for the evening. Spent some time with him last night - sat on a stool and held him. Again this morning, I sat out there with a book and held him. Then at noon, hubby and I took him to the humane society for adoption. It really broke my heart, but I do have two cats and didn't want a third (neither did they...) I didn't realize how much he had weaseled into my heart so quickly - such beautiful eyes, etc. Went out and got ice cream for my soul, not good I know, but... Well, it is the beginning of the month, so now to work it off - and keep it off!!
Cindy, hope Mom is coming along better and Dad is coping with everything.

Kathleen, I can relate to how you feel. I have 4 pups living with us 'cause I just can't give them up. They are strays and rescues.

I'll be doing Paleo. I have been at it for a bit. Will continue with it this month.

Sorry, Vanogay. Hope he's adopted soon to a loving home.

My goal for this week - try a new homemade salad dressing and eat more veges. I've been doing ok with exercise but really need to work on my eating habits.

Cindy, glad to hear the surgery went well. I'm sure you are tired.
